Are you practicing your sun safety?

Melanoma is less common than other skin cancers but is more likely to spread to other parts of the body if not caught early and can become life-threatening. However, it’s often curable in early stages, so prompt diagnosis is key.

Melanoma: Early detection is key

In this webinar, we spoke with Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center skin cancer experts Dr. Jordan Abbott, Dr. Mark Gimbel and Dr. Fade Mahmoud to hear about the state of melanoma today. They shared their knowledge about when to see your doctor, statistics, treatment options and the advancements in care.

Dr. Jordan Abbott

Dr. Jordan Abbott works in dermatology, specializing in melanoma and skin cancer. She, “believes in treating each patient as if they were family,” and “strives to listen well, communicate clearly, and empower patients to make well informed decisions regarding their health.”

And there is no greater joy than when I can celebrate with my patient at the end of this long road.”
